We are new kids on the block. Our 501c3 charity was formed by Downey Brand law firm in 2009. Our mission is to rescue older, unwanted, neglected, dogs with a preference toward larger dogs.

We rescue and rehabilitate them to insure that they live the remainder of their lives on planet earth as pain free and happy as possible. Some dogs will be trained as therapy dogs and will participate in senior home visits and reading programs for children. In the near future, we want to approach senior groups to solicit volunteers to help with our programs. We will look for permanent foster parents for some of our dogs as our projects grows.

We rescue the dogs initially, assess their behavior and have a health check done by a vet. When the dog's health is restored they are available for permanent foster or adoption. Permanent foster is similar to adoption in that the foster parent takes the dog forever. All permanent fosters will also participate in the visitation programs. However, our organization always requests that the dog be returned to us if the foster can no longer care for the dog. We also provide food for the fosters because we believe the quality of food plays a big role in the quality of life of these blessed souls. We are interested in talking to anyone, young or old, interested in our permanent foster or adoption program.

All of our dogs available for adoption have a $100 adoption fee.
